Costa Rica is a land of lush rainforests, dramatic coastlines, and stunning biodiversity, a place where the wild beauty of nature thrives.

With landscapes that could be taken right out of a movie, it’s no wonder that Costa Rica has become synonymous with adventure, mystery, and natural wonder. In fact, some scenes from the iconic 1993 movie Jurassic Park, directed by Steven Spielberg, were filmed in Costa Rica’s own Cocos Island, an area celebrated for its wild and pristine ecosystem.

For fans of the film, Costa Rica embodies that untamed paradise where science meets nature, inviting travelers to embark on thrilling expeditions and create unforgettable memories.

Now, Jurassic Park fans have a new reason to visit. Parque Viva will soon host an exciting “Jurassic Park Experience”, complete with live music, animatronic dinosaurs, and immersive jungle scenes. This event promises to bring the captivating world of Jurassic Park to life like never before, allowing fans to step into the world of dinosaurs right here in Costa Rica.

Get Ready for the Ultimate Jurassic Park Adventure

Starting on December 7th, Parque Viva will transform into a realm inspired by Jurassic Park, with activities designed for families, movie enthusiasts, and thrill-seekers. At Interbus, we’re thrilled to offer shuttle services that make it easy to reach this unique event from anywhere in Costa Rica, ensuring a stress-free journey to this must-see attraction.

The experience at Parque Viva isn’t just about watching a movie. It’s a multi-sensory event where the original Jurassic Park film will be projected on a massive 16-meter by 9-meter LED screen, paired with the live performance of the iconic soundtrack by Editus Orchestra, a 73-member ensemble. This live orchestration adds depth to the scenes, immersing viewers in the thrilling, suspenseful world of Isla Nublar. In addition to this, animatronic dinosaurs will roam through the park, bringing the excitement and wonder of these ancient creatures closer than ever.

For those wanting to make a day of it, Parque Viva’s dining area will offer Jurassic Park-themed cuisine, adding another layer to the experience. From adventurous eats to classic favorites, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

The Magic of Costa Rica’s “Jurassic Park” Connection

Isla del Coco, the real-life inspiration behind Jurassic Park’s Isla Nublar, boasts rich biodiversity and a dense, jungle-filled landscape that truly evokes a prehistoric atmosphere. Designated as a national park, Cocos Island’s natural beauty is one of the many reasons Costa Rica has become a top destination for nature lovers and adventure-seekers.

While Isla del Coco itself is a protected marine area, accessible only by special permits, Parque Viva’s Jurassic Park experience captures the essence of Costa Rica’s diverse ecosystems and the spirit of the beloved movie franchise. By visiting, you get a taste of Costa Rica’s natural beauty, combined with the thrill of Hollywood.
