How to get to Coco beach

Coco beach Activities
In this area you can enjoy many day and night attractions or activities. Coco Beach is well known for its excellent diving and sport fishing world class. During the day you can practice many activities such as water skiing and snorkeling; in the Coco down town you will find many places that offer these activities with included equipment and transportation. The waves in this area are normally not suitable for surfing. This beach has a calm sea, which makes it an excellent place for swimming and for children. This beach also has many species of fish; but remember that the sea may change at any time, please always be alert. You can also take a catamaran tour and enjoy the sunrise or sunset on the beach. There are also three islands near the coast where you can go snorkeling and swim well with sharks, octopuses, turtles, manta rays and many other species. We recommend surfing on nearby beaches or points, such as Tamarindo Beach, Avellana beach, or in Ollie?s Point, or in Witch?s Rock. Near Coco beach, you can do hiking tours in national parks, boat trips along the Papagayo Gulf, practice zip line or canopy, horseback riding, ATV riding (All Terrene vehicle), visiting hot springs, or take a tour in kayak/canoe; or you can simply relax and take sunbathe on a boat or on the beach.
You can also take adventure tours close by in Buena Vista or Guachipelín, go to nearby beaches such as Hermosa beach, Panama beach, Tamarindo beach and Conchal beach or visit some nearby national parks such as the Barra Honda National Park, Palo Verde National Park, Rincon de la Vieja National Park or the Tenorio Volcano National Park. When tourists come to visit Coco Beach, they enjoy the beach for a day and the other days do different tours nearby.
Coco beach offers a very active nightlife; here you can find bars, located near the central square; in addition to entertainment venues such as casinos and nightclubs. The most famous bars are located on the main street, Lizard Lounge, Coconutz and Zi Lounge; all these bars are open view, so you can have a drink, eat and watch people walking around the area; there are some other bars near the beach. Nightlife in Coco Beach is limited on the main street, as is where most of the restaurants and bars are. Near the beach there is a small park and little pier, you can sit there and watch the stars, listen to live music and enjoy the evening. Also in Coco beach it is common to see people hanging out on the street, sometimes having a drink sitting in their cars; the Ticos love to talk and spend time with friends and family and enjoy the night as well.
